Iron Mountain: Edward Brzoznowski, age 80, of Sagola, Michigan, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2003, at the V A Hospital in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Edward was born October 22, 1922, in Iron River, Michigan, son of Felix and Magdeline (Stankewicz) Brzoznowski. He attended grade schools in the Iron River area and graduated from Iron River High School. He worked on his parent's farm until he joined the US Army Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1947. He attended Michigan State University for two years. He married Elaine Betty Topel on October 8, 1949. He worked at farming and logging many years in the Iron River area before retiring to Sagola, Michigan. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife Elaine, daughter Barbara Brzoznowski, five sons, Thomas, Michael (Yvonne) and Bruce (Terry) all of Iron River, Gene (Tracy) of Sagola, Michigan, and Gary (Jenny) of Cole Camp, Missouri, one brother Joseph of Iron River, Michigan, three sisters Mary Scalcucci and Frances Miller of Crystal Falls, Michigan, and Josephine Kruszczynski of Woodruff, Wisconsin, fifteen grandchildren, Edward A., Robert, Dennis and Ann of Sagola, Michigan, Michael R.(Adrien) of Iron Mountain, Michigan, Michael D. of Amasa, Michigan, Andrzej, Jordan, brad and Suzanne of Iron River, Michigan, Angela (Michael) Schindler of Spread Eagle, Wisconsin, Samantha (James) Barrett of Belfast Tennessee, Harmony (James) Moody of Floral City, Florida, Mindi of El Paso, Texas, and Jeanne of Bryan, Texas, and a great granddaughter Angelina Barrett of Belfast, Tennessee, nine step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Magdeline Sendek and a great granddaughter Adelina Brzoznowski. Memorial services will be held at the Michael Brzoznowski farm at 1220 Gibbs City Road, Iron River, Michigan, at 4:00P.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2003.
