Florence- Edward F. Bowman, 82, of Florence, Wis., passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, at his home.
He was born February 25, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Charles and Anna (Kaminski) Bowman. Edward grew up in and attended school in Chicago. On November 23, 1957 at St. Barbara in Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, Edward was united in marriage to Dianne Staszak. Dianne and Edward spent a wonderful 62 years together. He worked as a supervisor for a paint manufacturing company and also ran the family farm before retiring.
Edward loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching the deer, spending time on the farm, mowing the lawn and taking care of his flowers and enjoyed collecting roosters.
Survivors include the love of his life of 62 years, his wife, Dianne Bowman; three sons, Joe (Carol) Bowman, Florence, Wis., Jim (Julie) Bowman, Florence, Wis., and John (Michelle) Bowman, Quinnesec, Mich.; two daughters, Sue (Lee) Mattson, Florence, Wis., and Michelle (Wes) Nicolls, Florence, Wis.; twelve grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon), Jimmy, Jeff, Dave (Jenna), Derrick, Louie, Anna, Jesse, Jordan (Sierra), Takarra, Darian and Robin; and by five great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jillian, Jayden, Ryton and Rhett.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Bowman; and three sisters, Mary Dybala, Delores Bednarski and Eleanor Waliczek.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence, Wis. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Michael Lightner will officiate.
