Iron Mountain:
Eda Marini, age 91, a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain, passed away Monday, February 21, 2005, at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
Eda was born July 28, 1913, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Dinnocenzo) Tresca. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1932.
She married James Marini on October 10, 1936. He preceded her in death January 18, 1982. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a former member of the Italian's Woman's Club.
Survivors include a son Ronald Marini of Iron Mountain, a daughter Frances Blackwell of Pasadena, California, and three grandchildren, Angela (John) Wawrzynek of Berkeley, California, David (Gina) Blackwell of San Raphael, California, Joshua (Jennifer) Blackwell of Seattle, Washington, and three great grandchildren Emma Wawrzynek, Richard Blackwell and Charles Blackwell.
Besides her parents and husband James, she was preceded in death by a brother Agdio Tresca and a sister Mary Tresca.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 26, 2005, from 11-12:30p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. The Daughters of Isabella will recite the Rosary Saturday at 12:15, with a prayer to follow at 12:30 at the funeral home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
