Iron Mountain:
Eda Hansen, 85, of 310 East Margaret Street, Iron Mountain, MI, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI.
Eda was born on June 19, 1917, in Gaastra, Michigan, to the late Joseph and Catherine (Stafferoni) Bartelli.
On April 17, 1935, Eda married Gordon Dickson (Dick) Hansen in Florence, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in 1994.
After their marriage, they moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and resided there until moving back to Quinnesec, Michigan in 1945. They again relocated to Milwaukee, WI in 1953 and resided there until her retirement from J.C. Penney Co. in 1979. They then
moved back to Iron Mountain, MI.
Eda was a member of the Quinnessec United Methodist Church of Quinnesec, MI, and was active in the Ladies groups at the church.
Eda is survived by two sons Richard (Anne) Hansen of Niagara,WI, and Joseph (Erika) Hansen of South Lake Tahoe, California, three daughters Arlene Turrie of Carson City, Nevada, Sharon Gramprie of South Lake Tahoe, California, and Penny Stanley
of Las Vegas, Nevada, one sister Norma (Robert) Biolo of Marquette, MI, one sister-in-law Sigrid Bartelli of Hancock, MI, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Dick, Eda was preceded in death by her twin brother Lindo Bartelli and one sister Irma Covey.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20, 2003, from 5-7 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain, MI, and Wednesday 10 – 11 a.m. at Quinnesec United Methodist Church at the corner of River and Division streets. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00a.m. at Quinnesec United Methodist Church. Pastor Pauline Rupe will officiate. Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Mark Sleik, Reid Hansen, Neil Hansen, Brenden Biolo, Tim Biolo, and Ray Mariucci.
