E. June Sundquist, 88, of Crystal Falls, passed away quietly at Marquette General Hospital on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.
She was born June 4, 1923, in Chicago, Ill., and lived in many Midwestern states and cities with her husband and children, before finally settling in Crystal Falls, where she has resided for the past 40 years.

She worked crossword puzzles and Sudoku with a passion, and frustrated everyone that would sit with her watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune! June was a die-hard Cubs fan and cheered the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers on to recent championships, and was always "waiting 'til next year" for the Chicago Cubbies.
She is survived by her two sons, David (Christine) Sundquist, Denton, Tex., Paul (Terry) Sundquist, Kenosha, Wis.; one daughter Sandi (Robert) Sundquist-Niemi, Ishpeming, Mich.; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, soon-to-be a total of five great-great- grandchildren, and her special friend, Ron Bowman, Crystal Falls. June was preceded in death by her husband, Ewald in 1991, a son Clyde in 2007, and a daughter, Rhonda in 1973.
The visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls.
