Amberg- Dwane D. Rohleder, 63, of Amberg, Wis., passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at his home.
He was born August 29, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of the late Dolores Rohleder. Dwane grew up and attended school in Milwaukee, Wis. Following graduation, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Marines, stationed in San Diego, California, and Japan. After his honorable discharge, Dwane lived in Milwaukee, where he worked at a glass installation factory and worked as a self-employed mechanic. In 1989 Dwane moved to Amberg, Wis., where he worked as a shipbuilder for Marinette Marine and also continued his trade as a mechanic.
Dwane enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting deer, fishing, and spending time with friends around the campfire. He was very much a homebody who enjoyed having friends over. Dwane enjoyed classic cars as well as helping his friends restore them.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa (Juan) Lopez, Kingsville, Texas, and DeAnn (Demetrius) Wilson, Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters, Sharon (Paul) May, Waukesha, Wis., and Sandy (Tom) Garsombke, Hartford, Wis.; and five grandchildren, Amanda, Aurorarose, Sebastian, Joseph, and Josiah.
In addition to his mother, Dolores, Dwane was preceded in death by his step-father, Vincent Kozmut, one brother, Erve Rohleder, and his girlfriend, Jami Marie.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home-Niagara Chapel. A celebration of life will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor James Danielson will officiate.
