CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. – Douglas W. Franz, 68, of Crystal Falls, passed away Tues. March 1, 2016, at his home. He was born January 30, 1948, in Crystal Falls, son of the late Stanley and Elaine (Pfeiffer) Franz. Doug was a life-long resident of Crystal Falls and graduated from Crystal Falls High School. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by one brother, Donald (Sue) W. Franz of The Villages, Fla.; one sister, Dorothy Hookenson of Iron River, Mich.; two nieces, Brenda and Lynda; two nephews, Bob and Brian and numerous cousins. A Graveside Service will be held in the spring for friends and family at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls. The family has chosen the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls to honor Doug's Legacy of Life.
