Iron Mountain: Dorothy Alene Clemo age 86, of Iron Mountain passed away Thursday December 23, 2004 at Hylund Nursing Home in Iron Mountain. Dorothy was born on November 7, 1918 in Iron Mountain daughter of the late John and Laura (Tretheway) Maynard. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain, and a 1936 graduate of Iron Mountain High School. She married Henry Clemo in 1941. Dorothy along with her husband owned and operated Clemo Distributing Agency for 55 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Iron Mountain. Dorothy's favorite past time was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She spent the last year at Hylund Nursing Home. She made many new friends and received wonderful care. Her family will remember this forever. Dorothy is survived by, one daughter Barbara Clemo of Iron Mountain. Two sisters, Louise Roberts and Kathleen (J.Robert) Rochon of Iron Mountain. Three grandchildren, George (Kim) Freeman, Laura (Kirk) Fortner of Iron Mountain, Kristi Freeman of Minnesota. Seven great grandchildren, Paige, Ella, Hunter and Ashley Fortner. Andre and Makayla Freeman and Keenan Fairhall and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Henry, Dorothy is preceded by, two sisters Margaret and Francis. Three brothers, William, John, Henry and one brother in law James Roberts. Visitation will be Monday December 27, 2004 from 5-7pm at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A memorial service will be held Monday 7pm at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be conducted by Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Iron Mountain. Burial will be in Cemetery Park. A memorial will be established in her memory.
