Donald J. Stachowicz, 76, Alpha, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010, at his home. He was born August 27, 1934, in Crystal Falls, son of the late Jacob and Katherine (Ball) Stachowicz. In August 1956 he married Lennea Fay Soderena. She preceded him in death on November 15, 1999. Donald was an auto mechanic and worked at various auto dealerships in the Crystal Falls and Florence, Wisconsin area. He was the former Alpha Village Manager. Don had a band known as the Lancers and was quite popular in the area at one time. Survivors include, three daughters, Brandy (Anthony) Williamson, Alpha, Patti (Paul) Saudan, Hampton, Ga., Barbi (Bill) Galarno, New Holstein, Wis.; eight grandchildren, Meredith (Chris Fox) Howard, Samantha (John) Saudan, Casey Skibo, Craig Skibo, Andrew Saudan, Nicole Galarno, Jaime Galarno, David Galarno; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Stachowicz, Jack (June) Stachowicz, Crystal Falls, Robert (Gail) Stachowicz, Stambaugh; one sister, Carole Stachowicz, Crystal Falls; and his mother-in-law, Tunie Soderena, Crystal Falls. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie and Delores; three brothers, Eddie, Joey, and Benny Stachowicz. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at United Lutheran Church, Crystal Falls. Rev. Michael Laakko will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. A funeral luncheon will be served following the memorial service at the church.
