Iron Mountain-Donald E. Constantini, age 83, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 25, 2018, following a five-year battle with brain tumors. He was loved and cared for by his son, Rick, grandchildren, Kyle, and Samantha and his daughter in law, Michelle during this time. Don passed away with a special blanket his mother Caroline made for him.

Don was born October 23, 1934, in Iron Mountain, son of the late John and Caroline (Kerkes) Constantini. He was a graduate of Kingsford High School, Class of 1953, and proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in May of 1956.

Don worked for the Local #9 The Michigan Brick Layers and Allied Craftworkers Union for 50 years. He was a "Gold Card" Life Member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. Don worked all over the Upper Peninsula including the Dickinson County Hospital, the Bark River High School, and many other projects.

He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding his "Harley." Don enjoyed riding with his two sons, grandson, his good friend "Chainsaw George," and many other friends. He was a hunter and trapper. Don loved animals, feeding the deer and turkeys in his yard. He had a special cat "Dan," who stayed by his side and watched over him as his health declined. Most of all Don enjoyed spending time with his sons, grandchildren, and friends.

There was only one Don and he will missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney Constantini, Menominee, Mich. and Rickey (Michelle) Constantini, Spread Eagle, Wis.; one daughter, Rhonda Barkle, Iron Mountain, Mich.; three grandchildren, Kyle Constantini, Samantha Constantini and Kaitlyn (Steve) McKenzie, Las Vegas, Nevada; and one great-granddaughter, Evelyn.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Sue Constantini.
