Donald Roy
Brown
August 28, 1934 – November 27, 2024
Niagara – Donald "Banana" Brown, 90, of Niagara, Wisc., passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was born on August 28, 1934, in Niagara, Wisc., a son of the late Raymond and Clara (Santini) Brown.
Don was a lifelong resident of Niagara, and graduated from Niagara High School, class of 1953. After graduation, he served in the United States Army for two years. Don went on to work in the Niagara Mill for forty-four years.
Donald married his love, Marcy "Peterson" Schoen on May 5, 1962, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara. They had three children, Natalie Teafoe, Shawn (Audrey) Brown, and Shad (Briana) Brown.
Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with his buddies, remodeling, going to camp, and gambling. The most precious times in his life were with his family and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He continually said "these grandkids know so much with the computers and iPads that he needed to go back to school to keep up with them."
Don is survived by his two sons, Shawn (Audrey) Brown of Niagara, and Shad (Briana) Brown of Niagara; sister, Elaine Brown of Minneapolis, Minn.; grandchildren, Courtney (Teafoe) Krabbe, Cole (Skyleer) Teafoe, Beau Brunet, Chelsea Brunet, Nicholas (Kiana) Brown, Shannon (Matt) Wilcox, Brandon (Lisa) Dumke; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Braxton, Hudson, Nixon, Nash, Kingley, Brynlee, Brantlee, Ava, and Ronan; and a special thank you to his niece, Shelly, along with many more nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcy; daughter, Natalie Teafoe; brother, Dick Brown; and sisters, Jeanette Brown, and Carol Kane.
At this time, no formal services will be held.
The family would like to thank the staff of Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center for their expert care and concern. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have had them.
