Donald R. Arrowood, 67, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Friday, September 17, 2010, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain.
He was born on March 27, 1943, in Bryant, Wis., son of the late Edward and Chelsea (Raleigh) Arrowood. Donald married the former Patricia Johnson on April 14, 1990, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Kingsford; she survives.
Donald grew up in Bryant and attended Antigo High School where he graduated in 1961. He lived in many places before moving to Kingsford in 1990. Donald worked for the Great American Disposal Company for twelve years, starting in 1994. Don most enjoyed serving as a minister of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1961.
Donald enjoyed many hobbies including camping, fishing, reading, everything the outdoors had to offer, and especially shopping with his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Patricia; one brother, Virgil (Judy) Arrowood, Wausau, Wis.; five sisters, Wilma Hazelberg, Pearson, Wis., twin sister, Donna (Ron) Seidl, Mishicot, Wis., Joyce Arrowood, Wausau, Margie Arrowood, Bryant, Wis., Darlene (Keith) Wagner, Bryant, Wis.; special friend of the family, Grace Walters, Iron Mountain; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 2, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Kingsford. Greg Pepin will be presiding.
