Florence- Diane J. "Wop" White, age 70, of Florence, Wis., passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at her home.
She was born July 9, 1949, in Iron River, Michigan, daughter of the late John and Emma (Carlotto) Weigand. Diane was a lifelong resident of Florence and a graduate of Florence High School, class of 1967. Diane was united in marriage to Daryl White on September 7, 1971 in Crandon, Wis. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2017. Diane worked at Bartoletti's, Dina Mia's, Dar Lars, Black Bear and the Premiere Center. She along with her husband "Butch" owned the Do Drop Inn in Florence and was a volunteer for the Florence Rescue Squad.
Diane was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and New York Yankee fan. She enjoyed traveling to Vegas, camping, going to car shows with her brother and being in the outdoors.
Survivors include her one daughter, Billie (Tim) Muscarella, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sons, Daryl (Lisa Ritchie) White, Florence, Wis. and Tom (Carrie) White, Pembine, Wis.; one brother, David Weigand, Spread Eagle, Wis.; one sister, Dawn (Stan) Gill, Lubbock, Texas; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Diane's life will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. at the Tavern on Central, Florence, Wis.
