Diane Petroff, 60, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Monday January 7, 2008 at Dickinson County Hospital in Iron Mountain. She was born June 6, 1947, in Racine, Wisc., daughter of Donald and Georgia (Tucker) Pollock. Diane attended Iron River High School and graduated from Gogebic Community College with an Associates Degree in nursing. She moved to Iron Mountain in 1979, where she worked at the VA Medical Center as a nurse for 19 years, and later as a boiler technician there. Diane enjoyed raising birds, camping, working with stained glass, and the companionship of her trusted and faithful dog, Fifi. Diane is survived by her loving mother, Georgia, of Iron River, Mich.; a daughter, Lisa Ahrendts of Kingsford, Mich.; her son, ; her son, Jeffrey (Beth) Kryzewski, of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Aleah, Alan and Andy Ahrendts; three stepchildren, James (Sandy) Petroff, Thomas (Lynn) Petroff, Sandi (Dean) Lefebvre and their children; eight brothers and sisters, Gloria (Lance) Luckey, Ivy Sue (Burt) Gauthier, Terry Pollock, Julie (Darrol) Larsen, Donald Pollock, Frank Pollock, Charles (Missy) Pollock, Spring (Wayne) Golberg; extra special relatives, Ken and Verna Pollock and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband of 25 years, James R. Petroff; Diane was preceded by her father, Donald; her infant son, James; her nephews, Shannon and Jason and a niece, Lesha.
