Florence- Diane Lopez, 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, January 5, 2020 after a long battle with COPD. A resident of Goodman Wis., where she was born, Diane also spent some years living in Beloit, Wis., Kankakee, Ill., and Rockford, Ill. Diane enjoyed playing cards and board games with her family and friends. Other activities include photography, singing, creating personalized greeting cards, playing computer games, and making people laugh. She loved telling jokes - even while she was sick. Her infectious laugh and vivacious personality lifted the spirits of friends and family. Survivors include her mother, Lucille Nickel of Arizona; daughters, Debbie Dwyer and Audra (Lane) Howerton, all of Paragould, Ark.; brother, Larry Engel; grandchildren, Kyle Leake and Tabitha Dorn; great-grandchild, Otto Leake; and numerous stepchildren and step grandchildren. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Engel; husband of 35 years, Michael C. Lopez; sister, Jeannie Pagelow; and grandson, Blake Howerton. A graveside service will take place Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodman Cemetery, Goodman, Wis. Ralph Wilson will officiate.
