Florence: Delores Irene Thomas age 70, of Florence, Wisconsin died Tuesday October 1, 2002 at her home in Florence. Delores was born on October 24, 1931 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma daughter of the late Gilbert and Evla (Kissinger) Brown. Delores married William Thomas on August 27, 1951 in Stoutland, Missouri. He preceded her on March 30, 1996. Delores along with her husband and family moved to Florence, Wisconsin in 1952. She worked many years at the old nursing home which was called Lakeview and the present Florence Villa for many years. Delores also worked many years as custodian at the Florence High School. She enjoyed many hobbies including; ceramics and cross stitching. Delores is survived by: Six sons; Billy (Patricia) Thomas of Florence, WI., Terry (Sandy) Thomas of Two Rivers, WI., Randy (Tina) Thomas of Florence, WI., Jack (Kathy) Thomas of Florence, WI., Raymond (Julie) Thomas of Florence, WI., Alan (Wanda) Thomas of Manitowoc, WI., Three daughters; Ida (Robert) Cole of Florence, WI., Karen Bianchetti of Two Rivers, WI., Mary (Dan) Besaw of Florence, WI., Six sisters; Bonnie Ruth Williams of Lebanon, Missouri, Carolyn Fletcher of Lebanon, Missouri, Glenna Raye McDaniels of Stoutland, Missouri., Marybelle Burke of Stoutland, Missouri., Sharon Mangan of Ozark, Missouri., Jimmy Dean Capps of Strafford, Missouri. 30 Grandchildren. 21 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by; Two sisters; Helen Maxine Brown and Carmel Scantlin. One grandson Travis. One great grandson and one great granddaughter. Visitation will be Friday October 4, 2002 from 4-7PM at the Jacobs -Lundholm funeral home in Florence, and Saturday from 10-11AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Florence. Funeral services will be Saturday 11AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Florence. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Fence Cemetery in Fence, Wisconsin. Pallbearers will be Scott Moore, Michael Short, Scott Thomas, Bobby Cole, Raymond Thomas, Paul Senn, Jeremy DeBauche, Dan Besaw. The Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home of Florence is serving the family.
