Delores F. Bednarski, 83, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at her home. She was born February 19, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Kaminski) Bowman. Delores grew up in Chicago and graduated from St. Bridget's Catholic High School. She married Frank Bednarski on October 21, 1950, in Chicago. In April of 1952, they moved to Commonwealth and started the Bednarski Farm, which still operates today. She was an amazing wife and mother. Delores adored and spent many hours with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved them all more than life itself. Delores was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. She also enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, playing cards and working the family farm. Delores is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Frank; one son, Mike (Kathy) Bednarski, Commonwealth; two daughters, Sharon (Marious) Wilber, Ashland, Wis. and Carol (Bob) Pufall, Ashland; one brother, Edward (Diane) Bowman, Commonwealth; six grandchildren, Christine (Fritz) Wenzel, Brenda (Brad) DeClark, Lisa (Quin) Brenna, Michael Bednarski, Delora Pufall and Annette Pufall; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Bowman and two sisters, Mary Dybala and Eleanor Waliczek. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. Prayers will be recited Tuesday, 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. Rev. Fr. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wis., in the spring. The family has chosen the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence to honor Delores's Legacy of Life.
