Deanna
Juranek
November 10, 1980 – April 22, 2026
Deanna Juranek, 45, of Kingsford, Mich., went to be with her mom Eva on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in a tragic housefire.
Deanna was born on November 10, 1980, in Manistique, Mich., to Eddie Juranek and Eva Barrow. She attended Munising High School, graduating in 1999. Deanna then went on to get her cosmetology license. She decided it was not a job for her, so she continued working at Subway.
Deanna fell in love with Pat Salo in 1998. They welcomed their only son, Bryce Salo, in April 2006 in Grand Blanc. Being a mom was her favorite thing in life. Deanna totally devoted herself to Bryce from the time he was a baby until the second she took her last breath. Bryce was her pride and joy, to say it simply.
Deanna loved life and made the best of every situation, bad and good. She was a beautiful dreamer and the biggest procrastinator you would ever meet. Deanna could always be found with a cup of ice or a good glass of wine. She had the most contagious laugh that lit up the room. If you knew her, you were lucky; she was a good mother, caregiver, worker, friend, sister, and much more. One of her favorite pastimes was people watching at Walmart or Super One. Deanna was also known for her musical clocks all around her house.
Throughout her life, Deanna worked in medical coding and registration at the hospital. She loved helping and interacting with people. Deanna’s most recent job was as a Pharmacy Tech at Walgreens.
She is survived by her son, Bryce Salo (Patrick Salo); Eddie Juranek; Danny Juranek; Stacey Senger; and many aunts, uncles, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Barrow; Grandma and Grandpa Barrow; great-grandma; Grandpa Ruggles; and Uncle Steve Barrow.
In accordance with Deanna’s wishes, a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
Recreation Lanes has set up a benefit on June 6, 2026, in honor of the ones still living, Bryce, Danny, and Pat, to help rebuild their life and to honor Deanna.
“What we leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”-Pericles
