Dawn Marie Hallmann, age 43, of Amasa, died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, of a rare lung disease she suffered from for the past three years.
She was born April 23, 1963, in Aurora, Ill., daughter of Sharon (Koski) and the late James Zimny. On September 18, 1982, she married Thomas Hallmann in Amasa.
Dawn was a homemaker, enjoyed the out-of-doors, berry picking, nature, animals, playing board games, and was an avid reader. She attended Forest Park High School and graduated with the class of 1981.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Hallmann; daughter, Melissa Hallman; sons, Mark and Steven Hallmann; her mother, Sharon Zimny, all of Amasa; one brother, Daniel Zimny, DeKalb, Ill; her mother-in-law, Marilyn Hallmann, Roselle, Ill; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father in 1973, and a son, Thomas Joseph Hallmann, Jr. on March 2, 1991.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. (Noon), Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Amasa. The Rev. Fred Kinsey and the Rev. Dr. Kim Beckmann will officiate. Burial will be in the Hematite Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
