David J. Kenney, 71, of Amasa, Mich., passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at Northstar Health System, Iron River. He was born June 9, 1939, in Amasa, son of the late Marino and Josephine (Libardi) Kenney. David married Susan Giels on June 15, 1977, in Chicago, Ill.; she survives. David graduated from Amasa High School. He then moved to Chicago and was employed by Danley Machine for nineteen years, retiring in 1989. After retirement, David moved back to Amasa. He enjoyed watching television, especially the Detroit Lions football games and NASCAR racing, and attending Trojan football games. Survivors include his wife, Susan Kenney; one daughter, Jennifer (Dan) Cadeau; one brother, Emil Kenney; one sister, Annette Danielson, all of Amasa; one granddaughter, Jade Cadeau, Amasa; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leo Kenney, Jerry Kenney, Robert Kenney; and one sister, Frances Jacobinski. Visitation will be Friday, November 19, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. The funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Raymond Valerio will officiate. Burial will be in Hematite Township Cemetery, Amasa.
