David B. DeCremer, 62, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at his home.
He was born May 20, 1947, in Norway, Mich., son of the late Frank and Edith (Axelson) DeCremer. David was raised in Niagara and graduated from Niagara High School Class of 1965. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
After the war, David returned to Niagara where he worked at the Niagara Paper Mill for over 40 years as a system control operator. He retired from the paper mill upon its closing.
David enjoyed fishing, camping, and cruising on his pontoon boat with family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion Cretton-Tutas Post No. 136, Niagara. David was a very caring and devoted uncle, brother, and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially his brother, Norman, who was his neighbor and best friend.
He is survived by one brother, Norman (Mary Lou) DeCremer, Niagara; two sisters, Dorothy (Jim) Growden, Ohio, Virginia Hanke, Milwaukee, Wis.; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
David was preceded in death by one brother, Bill (Kathy) DeCremer; and one brother-in-law, Jerry Hanke.
Pallbearers will be Dan DeCremer, Mike DeCremer, Frank Macina, Mark Hanke, Stephen DeCremer, Fred Fleischfressor, Chuck Connis, Wally Franz.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 5, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery. American Legion Cretton-Tutas Post No. 136 will accord graveside military honors.
