Pembine – Darrell E. Smock, 84, of Pembine, Wisc., passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Optalis Health and Rehab, Kingsford, Mich.

He was born on August 10, 1939, in Klemme, Iowa, to the late Leslie and Ilo (Klotzbach) Smock.

Darrell proudly served in the United States Air Force from September 1956 until September 1960, and then re-enlisted from December 1960 until his honorable discharge in December 1964. He married the love of his life, Judith Jones, on May 21, 1961.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Judith Smock; two sons, Ryon Smock, and Karroll (Brenda) Smock; daughter, Sharlotte (Tom) Eichinger; brothers, Leslie Smock and George Anderson; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Willis Anderson; and sisters, Sheryl Dean, Doreen Winterhalter, and Noel Lee.

A Celebration of Darrell's life will be announced in the spring.
