Danny A. Phillips, 64, of Iron River, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at his home. He was born October 1, 1950, in Waynesville, N.C., son of the late Emmett and Eileen (Constance) Phillips. Danny grew up in Montana and graduated from Montana High School, Class of 1968. He served his country in the United States Marines until he was honorably discharged. Danny married Mary LaPier on July 3, 1981; in Colorado Springs, Colo. They resided in Helena, Montana where he was self-employed as a carpet layer. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycle, horseshoe, and bowling and was a pool shark. Danny is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mary; three sons, Jason Phillips, Danny Johnson and Andrew Johnson; one daughter, Jessica (Doug) Taylor; two brothers, Buddy and Michael; three sisters, June, Connie and Kathy and five grandchildren, Journee, Andrew, Angel, Zeta and Zion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Zachary. In accordance with Danny's wishes private family services were held.
