Florence-Daniel R. Rosen, 67, of Spread Eagle, Wis., passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich. He was born November 7, 1952, in Iron Mountain, Mich., son of the late Sidney and Laurel (Friestrom) Rosen. Daniel grew up in Spread Eagle and attended the Florence Schools. He proudly served in the United States Navy. On June 5, 1976, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha, Wis., he was united in marriage to Rita Hammer. Following marriage, they resided in Winnebago County where Daniel worked as a heavy equipment operator for the county for many years. They relocated to Florence in 1992. Daniel enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing, and especially the time spent with family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Rita Rosen; one son, Joe Rosen, Spread Eagle, Wis.; one daughter, Sabrina (Kevin) Leffler, Florence, Wis.; one brother, Bruce (Jackie) Rosen, Iron Mountain, Mich.; one sister, Sue Lindeman, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and by two grandsons, Kyle and Bryce. In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by one brother, Aaron Rosen; and by one sister. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home.
