Obituary

Pembine – Dakota L Roberts, 25, of Pembine, Wisc., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

He was born on December 22, 1997, in Iron Mountain, Mich., to Derek Roberts and the late Bobbi (Cumber) Roberts. He grew up in Pembine and graduated from Pembine High School, class of 2016.

Dakota was an incredible father, son, brother, and friend to those around him. He was caring, kind, charismatic, family oriented, carefree, and so full of life. He lit up the room when he walked in and could never fail to make you laugh. There was never a dull moment around Dakota. He always shared the most interesting and hilarious stories of the things he encountered in his everyday life that would always make people say, "Only you, Dakota!". Dakota just had a way with words, storytelling, and theatrics. Any time you needed a hand or a laugh, Dakota was your guy. He came from a family of artists and shared a deep love for the arts including acting, writing, playing music, singing, drawing, and painting. He dreamed of someday becoming an actor, comedian, or musician. He also enjoyed being outside in nature, swimming, fishing, four wheeling, bowling, attending concerts, reading, gaming, gardening, sports, and spending time with his family. His two daughters were his pride and joy. He will be remembered for all of the love, smiles, and laughs he blessed our lives with.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Derek Roberts and Christina Bond-Roberts; two daughters, Eris Roberts and Inari Roberts; fiancé, Ajaneigh Hannah; brothers, Brandon Bond and Cody Bond; sisters, Mirada White (Nathan) and Arieanna Bond; grandparents, Al and Donna Cumber; aunts, Jammi Cumber, Robin Jones, and Lisa Roberts; uncle, Alan Cumber, Jr.; and many nieces; nephews; cousins; and other extended family.

In addition to his mother, Bobbi; he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Judy Roberts.
