Colleen Ann Paro, age 78, of 120 Crystal Avenue, Crystal Falls, died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at her home. Colleen was born December 13, 1927 in Channing, daughter of the late John and Anna (Jarvi) Schmid. She was a Nurse's Aide at the Iron County Medical Care Facility for 28 years. Colleen enjoyed spending time with her family and had a special love for her dogs. Survivors include one daughter, Becky (Fred) Anderson, Crystal Falls; one son, John (Phyllis Korth) Paro, Palm Springs, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jim Anderson, LeRoy Anderson, Melissa (Steve) Sikora, Kristi (Andres) Franco; five great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Bill Lee, Ishpeming. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Carol Lee, one brother, Warren Schmid and a granddaughter, Cienna Marie Franco. Private family memorial services will be held. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
