Clyde D. Oakes, 65, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Dickinson County Healthcare System. He was born on June 17, 1956 in Escanaba, Mich., to the late Albert and Hazel (Vallue) Oakes. Clyde grew up in Hardwood, Mich., and graduated from North Dickinson High School, class of 1974. He enjoyed spending time with his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his two brothers, Allen Oakes (Sindy) and Jim Oakes (Lulu); three sisters, Ann Bennett (John), Joan Kasbohm (John), and Judy Oakes; and many nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded by two brothers, Ronald Welch and Merel Welch; two sisters, Bonnie Fenner and Eileen Oakes; and a nephew, William Oakes.
