Kingsford:
Clifford Spencer Johnson, age 73, of Kingsford, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2005, at his home.
He was born December 28, 1931, in Channing, MI, the son of the late Joseph and Grace (Arboreen) Johnson. He grew up in Channing and attended school there. He married Margaret Voris in 1952, and she preceded him in death on October 11, 2000. He was employed by Grede Foundry for forty years and retired in December of 1993. He enjoyed all the people he worked with at Grede Foundry throughout the years. Clifford was an avid card player, always looking to play a friendly game with family and friends.
Survivors include a son Clifford James (Kathryn) Johnson of Iron Mountain, a daughter Susan Kay (Henry) Koster of Oshkosh, one sister Margaret (Cletus) Bastian of Kingsford,five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife Margaret, Clifford was preceded in death by three brothers Edward, Eugene and Joey, two sisters Helen Nelson and Grace Trombley, and a step-sister Phyllis Dionne.
Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2005, from 9:30-10:30a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Prayer services will be at 10:30a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00a.m. Monday, at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Father Joseph Gouin will officiate. Burial will be in Dickinson County Memorial Gardens.
