Iron Mountain:
Clement A. Feira, 84, of Iron Mountain, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 19, 2006, at his home.
He was born November 24, 1921, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, son of the late John and Anna (Bergana) Feira. On October 5, 1946, he married Eva Tarperi .
He attended and graduated from Iron Mountain High School. While he was in High School he was on the basketball team and in 1939 they were U.P. Champs. He served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Paisano Club and was Paisano of the year in 1987. He worked for Montgomery Wards for over 30 years and as a courier for Peninsula Oil Company for over fifteen years. Most of all, he loved his family unconditionally!
Along with Eva his wife of 59 years, he is also survived by sisters-in-law Beatrice Tarperi, Iron Mountain and Gloria (Bob) Bailey, Indianapolis, Ind.; nieces Nancy (Bill) Brisson, Harrison Twp, Mich., Susan (Rick) Holland, Iron Mountain, Patt Bednarz, Iron Mountain, Alice Feira, Iron Mountain; nephew Peter (Marlene) Feira, Green Bay; numerous great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ernie Zambon, Jim Laydon of Iron Mountain and Jack Laydon of Spread Eagle.
Clem was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Peter, John and Adolph and a nephew Jack Feira.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, 2006, from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. Prayer service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 23, 2006, 11:00a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain. Pallbearers will be Steve Holland, Joe Tocco, Doug Kendrick, Mike Feira, Steve Feira, Jim Laydon and Ernie Zambon.
