Clarice R. Yunowich, age 83, of Neenah, Wis., passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at the VNA Assisted Living Facility, Neenah. Clarice was born on February 2, 1924, in Niagara, Wis. and was a life long resident until she moved to Neenah to be closer to her daughter, Nancy in 2001. Part of her heart always remained in Niagara with her extended family and life long friends. She was a receptionist at the Niagara Paper Mill and was proud of her many years of service and the friendships she formed. Clarice loved playing cards and golfing with family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews were a treasured part of her life. Every person she touched was affected by her positive and happy attitudes toward life. She recently told her daughter, "Live your dreams, I sincerely mean it." Clarice is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Ron) Marks, Oshkosh, Wis.,; daughter-in-law, Elyce (James) Yunowich, Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jill (Brian) Dujardin, Heather Marks, Jeanne (Paul) Jerks, James Yunowich; four great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Evan, McKenzie, Malcolm; brother, Ray (Lois) Steeno; many nieces and nephews. Clarice was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eugene W. Yunowich, her dear son James R. Yunowich, sister and best friend Florence Kenville, and brother Alvin Steeno. Visitation will be Saturday, February 24, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. Funeral service is at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Pat Nolet will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery. Clarice's family wishes to thank the many care givers at the VNA Assisted Living in Neenah, for five years of loving care and attention. Clarice always said she was treated like a "queen".
