Clara Frisanco, 96, a resident of the Iron County Medical Care Facility of Crystal Falls, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Northstar Health System, Iron River. She was born May 7, 1913, in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late August and Minnie (Durst) Schaal. In August of 1938 she married Benjamin Frisanco in Stambaugh. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1985. Clara was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, and working in her flower garden. She was a 62 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Crystal Falls. Survivors include, one son, David (Lucille) Frisanco, Crystal Falls; two grandchildren, Scott (Bobbie) Frisanco, Crystal Falls, Pamela (Dennis) Krueger, Florence, Wis.; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Frisanco, Jacob Frisanco, both of Crystal Falls; and a special "son", Bill Kullar, Ludwigsburg, Germany; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ben Frisanco; three brothers, William Schaal, Jake Schaal, Ernest 'Honey' Schaal; two sisters, Carrie Dallafior, and Katherine Holmes.
