Obituary

Cheryl A. Taylor, 63, of Iron River, Mich., passed away, Friday, October 18, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 29, 1950, in Libertyville, Ill., daughter of the late Virgil and Laverne (Ballerstaedt) Skoglund. Cheryl grew up in Grayslake, Ill. She married Charles Taylor on August 14, 1998. After being married they moved around the United States living in several places and in 2008, made Iron River their home. She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, working on the computer, taking care of her dogs and especially spending time with her family and friends. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of fifteen years, Charles Taylor, Iron River; three brothers, Roger (Colette) Skoglund, Fort Meyers, Fla., Robert (Tammy) Skoglund, Caspian, Mich., Ronald (Erin) Skoglund, Romulus, Mich.; four sisters, Susan Bergstrom, Lake Villa, Ill., Karen (Tony) Segretti, Vernon Hills, Ill., Linda (Damon) Nasser, Iron River, Debra (Roger) Bloom, Iron River; two granddaughters, Ashley Lockwood, Boise, Idaho., Raeanna Simpson, Lake Havasu, Ariz; many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Kidd; one brother, Richard Skoglund and one sister, Laurel Cooper. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Iron River. Pastor Bonnie Kinnunen will officiate.
