Aurora - Charles I. Edwards, 70, of Aurora, Wis., passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at his home. He was born September 20, 1950, in Belvedere, Ill., son of the late Irvin and Laverne (Hill) Edwards. Chuck proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later served in the US National Guard. He married Christine Sharkey on November 22, 1996, in Iron Mountain; they resided in Aurora. Christine preceded him in death on December 18, 2014. Chuck worked for UP Office Furnishings for many years as an installation manager, becoming very proficient. Chuck made numerous friends wherever he went, and all of those friends will miss him. He cherished his family and grandkids. Chuck is survived by one son, Chuck Edwards Jr.; one niece, Amy Kleminski, Chicago, Ill.; one nephew, James David, Beaver Dam, Wis.; and one brother-in-law Gerald Bartholomew, Iron Mountain, Mich.; four grandchildren, Chuck Edwards III, Lynn Edwards, Alex Edwards, and Taylor Edwards; and two great-grandchildren, Eli and Ellianna Edwards. In addition to his parents and wife, Christine, Chuck was preceded in death by one son, Chad Edwards; one daughter, Karrie Edwards; and one sister, Connie Bartholomew. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. A celebration of Chuck's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Kevin Sullivan will officiate. The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post #50, Iron Mountain, will accord military honors at the funeral home.
