Florence: Cecile E. DeMark, 92, of Florence, Wisconsin, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at the Marquette Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming, Michigan. Cecile was born April 9, 1910, in Crystal Falls, Michigan, daughter of the late Fred and Caroline Duffy Barnett. She attended school in Crystal Falls, Michigan, and on September 6, 1930, married Thomas Demark at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls, Michigan. They resided in Florence for a short time the moved to Crystal Falls and lived in the Barnett family home. In 1934, they moved back to Florence and farmed there. Cecile enjoyed many hobbies knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking for her family. Cecile is survived by a daughter, Jean (Robert) Anderson of Ishpeming, Michigan, four grandchildren, Roberta (Jerry) Luokkala, Mary Ellen (Dale) Toivonen, Susan (Robbie) Dobson all of Ishpeming, Thomas Anderson of Munising, six great grandchildren, Crystal, Angie, Michael, Rachel, Jessica, Natalee, and four great great grandchildren, Gavin, Jack, Mikayla and Ava. Beside her husband and parents Cecile was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31, 2002, at 10:00 - 11:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Florence, Wisconsin, with the Mass of Christian Burial to be held Monday at 11:00a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Father Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Commonwealth, Wisconsin.
