Iron Mountain: Cecelia Marinelli, age 92, of Iron Mountain, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain. She was born on October 9, 1912, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Sylvester & Assunta (Monacelli) Spigarelli. Cecelia attended Iron Mountain High School (class of 1928) and graduated from Dundon College of Business in 1930. She married Peter Marinelli in a double ceremony with her cousin Ann and the late Henry Goulette in 1930. Peter preceded her in death in 1963. She worked in various places through out her lifetime. Supervisor at the Sewing Factory, Maracini and Sons and the Commercial Bank, all in Iron Mountain. Cecelia was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and United Travelers. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, church functions and socializing with family and friends. Survivors include one son Jerry (Tina) Marinelli, one granddaughter "the love of her life" Nicole, and Don and Donna Burby who were a son and daughter in her heart. She is also survived by special nieces and nephews: Rosalee Fontana of Green Bay, WI, her son Ron (Krissy) Axberg of Kingsford, her daughter Michelle (Tom) Frisch of Marion, Iowa, Norma & Nick Simone of Iron Mountain and their family Nick (Jeana) Simone Jr., Paul (Sheri) Simone, Cathy (Bruce) Main, Candy (Myke) Jacobs, cousins Lena Fouricci, Eva Romagnoli and Ann Goulette. Besides her parents and husband Peter, Cecelia was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph and Americo Spigarelli, three sisters Rose Colavecchi, Teresa Spigarelli and Ada Vicenzi, and soul mate who shared a special sisterhood, Ada Romagnoli and her best friend Rhoda Burby. Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2005 from 8:30 – 10:30a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Fr. Ray Valerio will be officiating. Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
