Crystal Falls: Catherine"Cutta" Carlotto, age 86, of Crystal Falls, Michigan, died Monday, October 20, 2003, at Iron County General Hospital in Iron River, Michigan. Catherine was born in Crystal Falls on August 13, 1917, to the late Dominic and Angeline (Ferrero) Carlotto. She was a life long resident of the area and attended Crystal Falls Schools. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church and Guild and the Women's bowling league. She worked for thirty years as a cook and bartender at the Infield Bar. She loved to cook. Catherine is survived by one brother John Carlotto of Crystal Falls, one sister Mary Paulsen (Carlotto) also of Crystal Falls, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, Bruno, Joseph and Anthony. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 22, 2003, from 10 – 11 A.M. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00A.M. at the Church. Fr. Dino Silvestrini will officiate. Pallbearers will be Walt Hagglund, Bob Pivatto, Larry Arcand, Chet Satori, George Onderak and Gerald Hegstrom. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls.
