Carrie M. Donaldson, 85,of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain.
She was born December 18, 1921, in Racine, Wis., daughter of the late Paul and Caroline (Bohnsack) Cichanofsky. She married Donald Donaldson on December 18, 1937, in Illinois. They lived in Racine until 1972, when they moved to the Granite Bluff area.
Carrie was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed church, bible study, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by three sons, Gene (Lorraine) Donaldson, Sagola, Mich., Donald (Debbie) Donaldson, Channing, Mich., Daniel (Gail) Donaldson, Florence, Wis.; one daughter, Cookie (Norman) Rouse, Channing; one son-in-law, Roy Harshman, Channing; one daughter-in-law, Sally Donaldson, Iron Mountain; one brother Stanley (Delores) Cichanofsky, Racine; one sister, Gloria (Larry) Godlewski, Eau Claire, Wis.; 25 grandchildren, Dawn, Kim, Jim, Paul, Kathy, Rich, Scott, Todd, Joan, Gene Jr., Craig, Julie, Janet, David, Carrie, Butch, Jeff, Crystal, Wendy, Nikki, Amanda, Jamie, Chantelle, Jeremy, Alan; 43 great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Donald, she was preceded in death by one son, Jim Donaldson on October 31, 2004; two daughters, Janet Harshman on November 9, 2004, Sharon Olson on November 11, 2006; two sisters, Millie Hockwalt, Wanda Berkholtz; two grandsons, Jody Rouse, Mark Arentz; and one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Calkins.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 21, 2007, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The funeral service will be Saturday, 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. David Grant will officiate. Burial will be in Channing Cemetery.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Paul Donaldson, Jeff Myers, Tony Punzell, Butch Rouse, Jamie Donaldson, and Jeremy Donaldson.
