Caroline L. Juroff, 87, Waukegan, IL, formerly of Crystal Falls, MI, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She was born February 26, 1929 in South Bend, Ind., daughter of the late Chester and Hazel (Souder) Lolmaugh. Caroline married Arthur Juroff on June 12, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Niles, Mich. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2010. They resided in Kokomo, IN for 15 years, then moved to Niles, MI, where they lived until Arthur's retirement. They then moved to Crystal Falls, where they lived for approximately 14 years. Following Arthur's death in 2010, Caroline moved to Waukegan, IL, to live with her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Joy Juroff. During her life, Caroline was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, but also worked from time to time in retail businesses. She particularly enjoyed working in a small bookstore in Kokomo, IN. After retirement, she and Arthur volunteered to assist with the Meals on Wheels program in Crystal Falls, MI, where they also enjoyed participating in activities at the Senior Center. They were members of Sion Lutheran Church MS, Amasa MI. Survivors include one son, Daniel (Joy) Juroff, Waukegan, IL; two daughters, Alison (Terry) Bailey, Galveston, IN and Christine Carroll, Anderson, IN; her sister-in-law, Pauline Juroff, Coloma, MI; eight grandchildren, Nathan Juroff, Nicole (Trent) Nettleton, Angela (David) Finlay, Hope (Andrew) Moore, Amanda Turner, Christopher Carroll, Amber (Robert) Best, and Amanda (Mike) Neuhaus; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Arthur, Caroline was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Lolmaugh, her son-in-law, Randy Carroll, her brothers-in-law Rev. Henry Juroff and Leonard Juroff, and her sister-in-law, Rosemary Juroff. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls, MI. in the spring.
