Carol Kajpust, age 85, of Beecher, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005, at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain.
Carol was born March 22, 1920, in Conrath, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Steven and Magadeline (Tokarz) Stacneck. Carol grew up in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. She married Leon Kajpust on January 29, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois. They resided in Chicago over 40 years before moving to Sturtevant, Wisconsin. Leon preceded her in death on July 6, 2002. After the death of Leon, Carol along with her daughter and son-in-law, moved to Beecher, Wisconsin, where she resided. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pembine, Wisconsin, and also a member of St. Margaret's Council of Christian Women. Some of her hobbies were reading and gardening.
Survivors include one daughter Deborah (Gerard) Maszka of Beecher, Wisconsin, and three grandchildren; Amy (Vincent) Filak of Muncie, Indiana, Alexander Maszka of Sturtevant, Wisconsin, and Margaret Maszka of Sturtevant, Wisconsin.
Besides her parents and husband Leon, Carol was preceded in death by one brother Anthony Stacneck and two sisters Angeline Gut and Sally Stacneck.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, 2005, from 10-11a.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pembine, Wisconsin. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, at 11:00a.m. at the church. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Niles, Illinois.
