Byron Lee Eldridge, 71, of Sagola, Mich., passed away Monday, August 20, 2012, at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain. He was born January 5, 1941, in Henderson, Mich., son of the late Frank and Goldie (Lepard) Eldridge. While living in Lower Michigan, Byron worked as an auto mechanic. He moved to Sagola in 1999. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and working on the computer. Byron is survived by a very special friend, Diane Lapham, Sagola; one brother, Charles Eldridge, Morrice, Mich.; two sisters, Carol Haller, Owosso, Mich., Josephine Butts, New Hampshire. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Effie Nidefski. Private family visitation and services are being held.
