Bruno E. Bandola, age 86, of Mansfield Township, died Friday, May 19, 2006, at Dickinson County Hospital, Iron Mountain.
He was born January 21, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois. On March 22, 1969, he married Virginia R. Nestor in Chicago. She preceded him in death on February 14, 1999.
Bruno retired as a machine repair operator for General Motors in Chicago. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army and was a life member of the Tufts-Rondon Post No. 2891 Veterans of Foreign War. Bruno enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include one son, Joseph Bandola, Crystal Falls; one daughter, Patricia (Joseph) Koperczyk; one brother, Theodore Bandola; one sister, Casey (Edward) Kuznaki, all of Chicago; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at St. Rose Catholic Church, Channing. Rev. Ray Valerio will officiate. Burial will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls with military honors rendered by the East Side Veterans Council. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
