Brenda S. Dixon, 50, of Niagara, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee, Wis., with her son by her side.
She was born June 4, 1961, in Iron Mountain, Mich., daughter of Janet (Freeman) Davis and the late Alfred Davis. At a young age, Brenda moved to Milwaukee where she lived for a few years before moving back to Niagara. She graduated from Niagara High School, Class of 1980.
Brenda married Dennis Dixon on June 16, 1988, in Iron Mountain. After being married, they resided in Niagara. She worked at the Iron Mountain IGA, Marcouiller's IGA, and later for Quality Cleaners in Iron Mountain.
She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Niagara, the Cretton-Tutas American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 136, Niagara. Brenda enjoyed gardening, motorcycling, and especially spending time with family and friends.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Dennis; one son, Zach Dixon, at home; one step-daughter, Amber, Menominee, Mich.; her mother, Janet Davis, Niagara; two sisters, Sandy Raymond, Kingsford, Irene (Brian) Lapucki, Milwaukee; one brother-in-law, Darrell (Wendy) Dixon, Green Bay, Wis.; and one sister-in-law, Carlene Baumler, Mesa, Ariz.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Taylor Dixon on July 9, 2010; one brother, John Davis; and one sister, Nancy Dawson.
The visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2012, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Rev. Koychul Shin will officiate. Burial will be in Homestead-Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, Wis., in the spring.
