Bregeda B. DeMuri, 96, of Florence, Wis., passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain. She was born September 9, 1914, in Crystal Falls, Mich., daughter of the late Anton and Angelina (Simeoni) Sartori. Bregeda married Anthony DeMuri on December 19, 1942, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls; he preceded her in death on April 6, 2003. Bregeda graduated from Crystal Falls High School, Class of 1933. She later moved to Florence where she and her husband, Anthony, owned and operated Florence Motor Sales. Their sons, Peter and David, continued to operate the business. Bregeda enjoyed cooking, bowling, and especially spending time with her family and many close friends. She is survived by one son, David (Teresa) DeMuri, Crystal Falls; one daughter-in-law, Debra DeMuri, Florence; four grandchildren, DeAnna (Troy) Kassens, Jeffrey (Kit) DeMuri, Tony, and Maria DeMuri; four great-grandchildren, Travis and Michael Kassens, and Dominic and Samantha DeMuri. Bregeda was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony DeMuri; most recently, one son, Peter DeMuri; four brothers, Joseph, George, Fred, and Albert Sartori; two sisters, Bertina Schmid, and Mary Alexa. Visitation will be Saturday, October 2, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
