Obituary

Bonnie Lou (Lantagne) Peterson, 64, of De Pere, Wis., formerly of Niagara, Wis., passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008, at Ledgeview Nursing Center, DePere, Wis. She was born on December 10, 1943, in Iron Mountain, Mich. daughter of the late Mitchell and Clarice (Bourassa) Lantagne. She attended Niagara High School until 1961, and graduated from Clovis High School in Clovis, N.M. Bonnie was a loving wife and mother of four children. She enjoyed doing many types of crafts but loved birds most of all. Bonnie was a selfless person, always putting others before herself and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Pat David Peterson; three daughters, Lolita (Rick) Slafter, Racine,Wis., Robin Peterson, Columbia, Md., and Ava (Robert) Blair, Manassas, Va.; five brothers; two sisters; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and the extended family of her late son, Todd, the Simmons family. Bonnie was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin Scott Peterson and Todd David Peterson; and her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Eva Harju. Visitation will be Saturday, September 20, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home Niagara Chapel. Family and friends are invited to the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Niagara Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the American Legion Hall in Niagara.
