Florence: Beverly "Ma." Peterson, age 76, a lifelong resident of Florence, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2004, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was born December 18, 1927, in Florence, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Felix and Maude (Roberts) Pultz. She attended and graduated from Florence High School. She married Alfred Peterson on September 28, 1946, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Florence. He preceded her in death in June of 1990. Beverly was the head cook and supervisor of the kitchen at Florence Villa for many years, until her retirement in 1989. She cooked at many establishments throughout the Florence area. She enjoyed watching the Packers, family get-togethers, cook-outs and sitting by the campfire. Survivors include three sons, Robert Peterson of Iron Mountain, Dennis (Minda) Peterson of Florence, and David "Bruce" Peterson and Lori of Tipler; twin daughters Salli Peterson of Florence, and Suzan "Frank" Opolka of Quinnesec, two sisters Betty (Terry) Kennedy of Iron Mountain, and Jean Bartsch of Tucson, Arizona; eight grandchildren, Robert, Sandra, Darren, Jason (Amanda), Jayme, Jillay (Carl), Shane and T.J.; nine great grandchildren, Tyler, Julia, Kyle, Rozlin, Aliza, Conroy, Cody, Jacob and Logan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Alfred, she was preceded in death by twin grandsons, Daniel David Peterson and Don David Peterson. Visitation will be Monday, December 20, 2004, from 3-4 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Florence. A Memorial Service will be at 4:00p.m. at the church. Pastor Andrew Schwartz will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
