Niagara- Beverly Jean Lake, 84, of Niagara, Wisc., passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Optalis Health & Rehab., Kingsford, Mich.

She was born September 11, 1940, in Norway, Mich., daughter of the late Gerald and Catherine (Opolka) Arnold. Beverly grew up in Vulcan and was a graduate of Vulcan High School, class of 1958. On April 22, 1961 she was united in marriage to Frank Lake at St. Barbara's Church in Vulcan. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2013.

Beverly worked in both Norway and Iron Mountain in the sewing factory and later at Bankers Life and Casualty in Chicago, Ill. She also catered with her sister, Barb, for many years and worked at the Chippewa Club.

Beverly was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She also ran the Niagara Ice Rink at the ballfield above St. Anthony's Church for many years and helped out at the Niagara Senior Center. In her spare time Beverly enjoyed playing Bingo.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Lake, Pewaukee, Wisc.; four daughters, Lisa (Kerry "Buzz") Berdinner, Vulcan, Mich., Linda Robinson, Waucedah, Mich., Sandra (Don) Powalka, Niagara, Wisc., and Rose Marie Scott, Mesa, Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Lisa Lake; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; aunt, Marilyn Steeno, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Frank, Beverly was preceded in death by one son, Frank Lake Jr.; one brother, Gerald (Dana) Arnold; and two sisters, Rosalie (Arthur) Neuens and Barbara (Frank) Schinderle; stepfather, Vertin LaCosse; sons-in-law, Richard (Stuby) Robinson and Jeff Scott; and grandson Jason Scott.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara, Wisc. The Funeral Mass will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Felix Abano will officiate. Burial will take place in the Norway Township Cemetery, Vulcan, Mich.
