Florence- Betty Ann Steber, 88, lifelong resident of Florence, Wisc., passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Woodside Lutheran Home, Green Bay, Wisc.

She was born September 2, 1937, in Florence, daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel (Sindars) Taff. Betty grew up in Florence and graduated from Florence High School. Following graduation, she was united in marriage to Jim Steber on February 14, 1958. Jim preceded Betty in death in 1982.

Betty worked for many years as a cook at the Florence School. She was the Florence Bobcats biggest fan and had a saved seat in the front row for every game. Betty also enjoyed the Green Bay Packers and playing Bingo.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Trudy) Steber, Oconomowoc, Wisc., Mark (Heidi) Steber, Florence, Wisc., and Mary Steber, Howard, Wisc.; one brother, Donald Taff, Florence, Wisc.; five grandchildren, Rochelle, Nicholas, Sutton (Simone), Piper (David), and Liam; three great-grandchildren, Aviana, Blake and Tatum; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Taff.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home. Private burial will take place in Commonwealth Cemetery.
