Betty Ann L. Hansen, 80, of Norway, Mich., passed away Monday, October 10, 2011, at ManorCare Health Services, Kingsford.
She was born July 6, 1931, in Niagara, Wis., daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Steiner) Lake. Betty Ann grew up in Niagara and graduated from Niagara High School. After graduation, Betty Ann worked in Chicago before moving to Norway. She married James Hansen on February 15, 1950, in Norway.
Betty Ann worked for the Printing Press in Norway and Dr. Garret's Office, Iron Mountain. She liked traveling and golfing and was a past member of Oak Crest Golf Course, Norway, and the Norway VFW Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years, Jim; three sons, Ricky (Mary) Hansen, Milwaukee, Wis., James, Jr. (Cathy) Hansen, Wrighstown, Wis., Steven (Holly) Hansen, Green Bay, Wis.; one daughter, Dawn (Jamie Schaut) Macario, Niagara; one brother, Frank (Bev) Lake, Niagara; two sisters, Barbara Krenn, Little Rock, Ark., and Kay Peterson, Norway.
Betty Ann was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Lake, Randy Lake; and one sister, Joyce Hansen.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2011, at Norway Township Cemetery, Norway. Rev. James Danielson will officiate.
