Obituary

Betty J. Fuller, 79, of Florence, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 24, 1932, in Long Lake, daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Chriech) Kagerbauer. Betty graduated from Laona High School, Class of 1951. On October 21, 1952, she married Douglas Fuller in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death. Betty worked for the Florence County Court House, retiring in February of 1995. She had many hobbies including gardening, doing yard work, puzzles, and playing cards. She is survived by seven children, Randy (Teresa) Fuller, Volcano, Calif., Karen (Bob) Nickiel, Green Bay, Wis., Patty (John) Wagerle, Sterling, Kans., Polly (Billy) Thomas, Pine River, Wis., Kathy (Hal) Thede, Florence, Lesley (Barry) Held Florence, Bobbie Lukaszewski, Florence; five sisters, Marie Terrian, Stella Piontek, Janice Nemetz, Carol (Pat) Goral, Donna Printz; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her step-father, Charlie Carlton; three brothers, Mike, Joe, and Ed Kagerbauer. Memorial can be made in Betty's memory to the Frist Presbyterian Church of Florence or the Florence County Rescue Squad. The visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday at the church. Rev. Douglas Johnson will officiate.
