Iron Mountain: Bernice H. Sacchetti, age 90, of Iron Mountain, went to live with the Lord, Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Freeman Nursing Center in Kingsford, Mich. She was born August 28, 1915, in Garden, Mich., daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Cousineau) Pelletier. She married Joseph Sacchetti, August 23, 1934, in Norway, Mich. He preceded her in death in 1957. Bernice moved to Kingsford in 1923, and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1935. She worked at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for 25 years as a dietary clerk, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Bernice was a wonderful, loving person. She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bernice was her daughter-in-laws best friend. She will be missed by all. Survivors include her daughter-in-law Kathy Sacchetti; step-daughter Betty (Dave) McDowell and step-grandchildren; one brother, Neil Bruce Pelletier, Kingsford; one sister, Marge Sculati, Iron Mountain; four grandchildren John Sacchetti, Iron Mountain, Tony (Lori) Sacchetti, Hastings, Minn., Jodi (Jim) Blichmann, Munising, Mich., Mary Sacchetti, Brooklyn Center, Minn; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Addison, South Carolina, Justine Blichmann, Grand Rapids, Mich., Jeff Blichmann, Munising, Mich, and Anna and Michael Sacchetti, Hasting, Minn. Besides her parents and husband Joseph, Bernice was preceded in death by a son Joseph Sacchetti Jr. in 2003. Visitation will be Sunday, July 16, 2006, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, and also at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday, July 17, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Father Dan Zaloga will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park. Pallbearers will be John Sacchetti, Tony Sacchetti, Jim Blichmann, Jeff Blichmann, John Deldin, and Michael Sacchetti.
